Peggy Ferris

Peggy Murdock Ferris is a recognized leader in DC real estate, with 40 years of experience. She is a co-founder of the Compass Chevy Chase office, where she is known for excellent timing and negotiation skills, pricing acumen, tasteful staging and a deep understanding of how the housing market moves.

Peggy has a large network of devoted clients, often multiple generations in a family. She works almost entirely on referrals, a testament to her high quality of service and tireless efforts to meet the needs of buyers and sellers in the Washington area.

When researching potential agents, prospective buyers and sellers typically hear that Peggy's personal touch transforms a transaction into a positive experience. They hear: "she's available 24 hours a day", "she listens and hears my needs and priorities", "I knew that Peggy acted in my best interests", "she treats me like a dear friend", "my kids love her". Those are also the reasons why other Compass agents look to her as a mentor and adviser on tough issues.

Before her real estate career, Peggy taught art and photography in Montgomery County and DC public schools. She holds a masters degree and is a sixth-generation Washingtonian. She volunteers regularly at the Interfaith Works Women's Center in Rockville and she supports many local causes.
