The Kitchen is the Heart of the Home: Pasta Parmesan Soup

If there’s one thing Peggy Ferris really loves about any home, it’s the kitchen. Peggy is a firm believer that the heart of a home is the kitchen, because it’s where we make and share meals with with friends, family, and neighbors. Just go to any party, where is everyone gathered? The kitchen!

Recently Peggy had the honor of sharing one of her favorite meals, with her clients at their home in Kensington, Maryland, whose house quickly went under contract after hitting the market —and will soon be enjoyed by a professional chef and his family!

Today’s recipe au jour: Pasta Parmesan Soup! This quick and warming treat is especially mouth-watering for anyone who loves the delicious smell of garlic!

Ingredients:

  • 4 Tablespoons of Butter

  • 4-6 Cloves of Garlic

  • 32oz of Chicken or Vegetarian Broth

  • 1 1/2 Cups Ditalini (or a tube pasta of your choice!)

  • 1/2 Cup Parmesan (or more to taste! )

Step One:

Dice Garlic

Step Two:

Melt butter and stir until slightly brown, then add the diced garlic.

Step 3

After letting the garlic simmer for 30 seconds add the broth and past. Peggy is a vegetarian, so she prefers “Better than Bouillon,” which she promises is just as good, if not better than chicken broth!

Step Four

Cook until pasta is al dente, stir in parmesan, sprinkle a little more on top, and Buon Appetito!
